Anyway it was. Gpz 750 that maverick drove like a pussy ...agreed, the paint scheme looked to be more like the UK 750s so quite a common assumption but it was a 900.. The story I heard was that the 900 wasn't ready at the time of filming so it was a 750 in badged as 900 Steve

Well if weβre are being picky itβs an F14 tomcat US navy the F16 was a US Airforce plane not used by navy as it isnβt carrier capable π Sorry pal, didn't realise I'd stumbled on to a plane spotters forum, lol.

The 900 bunch are as geeky as we are, plenty of evidence out there inc the original bills from the film studio to show it was a 900 , would be nice to see Top Gun 2 in the cinema anyways!

Lol cool mate,, re scars,, a lifetime of living on the edge I guess,, school days learnt to ride a motorcycle at about 8yrs old,, raced schoolboy motocross for years up to 125 few scars there many offs,, teen years Raceing xrossers 250s, ten years as a soldier in the shit few scars there, young adult life Raceing xrossers again 250 /500 two stokes few scars several operations,, road bikes scars operations lol,, doorman few years few scars,, work few little scars,, so year they mount up mate,, two broken ankles, a broken demolished left knee,, about ten ribs left arm/ wrist four times , right arm /wrist five times, umpteen fingers,, dislocations,, right color bone, oh and a skull fracture, ,, file four inches thick at hospital and I knew the guy who does the plaster setting by first his first name,, so yeah been in the wars as my mum would say bless but I can ride a bike now without stabilisers mate π

Sounds to me like you wanna be putting them stabilizers back on.....and get yourself a Michelin man suit for when you ride/ drive/ walk / sit down / stand up/ walk / run / sleep / wake up and anything I missed in between.π

Sounds to me like you wanna be putting them stabilizers back on.....and get yourself a Michelin man suit for when you ride/ drive/ walk / sit down / stand up/ walk / run / sleep / wake up and anything I missed in between.π LOL yep mate,, they make us tuff in the North East mate lol I've seen girls in Newcastle middle of winter on a sat night three ibmnches of snow on the floor in heels and like the shortest skirts nd tops on,,, walking around like it was ibetha lol. I loved it Steve mate, powerband on a two stroke motocross unreal started with yz 80 big wheel scary little thing 125 250 and 500 cr,,, loved Big air,, the police where always at the door riding after school up the lanes lol,, then my dad got a trailer and said your going Raceing,, when I was older it kept me in good stead on the road bikes knew wot it was going to do before it did I would deff recommend anyone trying off road before the road,,, I waa fairly good at it I guess,, trying to hard sometimes hence the broken bones ect bit if never come of on the road ever lol which is strange lol

Used to green lane and loved it forever crashing but the best fun on two wheels. Best times weekends away doing the strada Florida in wales π

Never done green laneing as such , crosses in the local woods count? Lol, but know where your coming from veg mate,, I fell of em enough to know it hurts but you gain valuable experience on bike control,, I know loads of guys up here are up the cheviots on there crms and wrs every chance they get and love it maybe something I may do in the future maybe,, but I know wot her indoors will say lol,,

Itβs like being a kid again on your bmx go out mess about ride through rivers and bogs and mud get covered in crap go back to digs few beers decent sleep repeat following day. Crash 20 times never big ones but just enough so you know.
