Ive seen places do this on ebay, but its not rocket science to have a sticker made up from a photo and apply it to an alloy plate then stamp the numbers in the plate.
How legal that all is... well... Ive no idea. If you own the bike and lost the plate then im sure its fine etc.

For which Country, as they are not fitted on UK LCs? Is there normally a plate fitted to frame as well as numbers on headstock? Mine never had one, I just assumed UK bikes got stamped and foreign bikes got plates. Never been picked up on m.o.t before so I presume not having one isn't an issue?

Lol no flames mate mines a German frame mate has been stamped and has a plate riveted to headstock on the right of headstock.. Both numbers tally... πNot sure if it's for the German Market but its a gen yamaha plate
4l0 said this is not fitted to UK bikes mate as you read it again lol

Austrian 4l0 exactly the same Iβm guessing itβs something to do with the tuv test and showing the chassis number clearly. They are just riveted on from memory.

Yep that's right veg mate,, just drilled the pop rivs out and sent the frame for powder coat this week .. Nice white,, should be back by Friday,, the plate is near mint but not perfect for me I'm a piccy get I guess lol just wonderd if I could get it replaced,, but its cool wot I will have to do tho is decal the frame no over the original as I asked the powder coater not to Bury it in powder coat he said he'd blast the frame to original steel then zinc coat it before powder coat,, said he could tape it over, but then there would be edges it have to paint in so I said no,, will see if it covers the stamping in the headstock,, if not, it would be cool if it shows through still,, but I very much doubt it will so ile just decal it over the original stamp, it's still there. Just maybe coverd,, but we shall see end of the week... Not used this coater before but he's supposedly OK... Β£80,00 plus the tax man vat shite so not a bad price,,,

Β£80 thatβs cheap especially if the frame is being zinc coated as well. Maybe have a look on eBay Germany see if anyone offers the service there?
