Can't believe Marc Marquez is trying to ride this weekend.. At least Honda have supplied a slightly detuned bike to keep him safe..

Remember Lorenzo a few yrs back? after that Assen tumble.. They aint footballers.............. If they can they will. That is their level of dedication...... Which is another reason why I found fans booing a rival rider on the podium who wasn't their "God" absolutely f**king disgusting.

Not a huge fan of his tbh nor of Rossi but you have to admire their grit and determination. I’m still stuck with 58.

can i join in?? Marquez......i don't follow him, i'm a yam fan, it was vinales for me up until fabio arrived, i thought this guy is great, beating the 2 factory yamahas. so its fabio for me. it was going to be was it vargo? another french guy on the yamaha but he got seriously ill? he was beating the factory yams too. back on track, i admire marc's grit for trying, as mentioned footballers would be off for weeks after taking a dive, and they get paid loads more. Please do not start me off on Rossi. Yes he has achieved a lot, but all you hear from commentators is how great he is and how he can ride around problems.......WHY ISN'T HE UP THE BLOODY FRONT THEN IN FRONT OF THE SATELLITE TEAMS??? Rant over

Completely agree about rossi and i now think he is doing his reputation more harm than good, and like steve when the rossi fans started boo-ing other riders on the podium that turned me off, i was in the rossi stand few years ago at british moto gp and i wished i hadn't bothered (wife bought me tickets) it was awful every time marquez went past. The guys are brave beyond compare they do things to their bodies that are incredible but look at ex racers and see how they are, schwantz, doohan etc

I cannot imagine that the real goat would of done nothing or said nothing... a gentleman to the end. The man who also won the F1 title...(the real goat)

Mr surtees I presume , I love watching the old stuff on you tube some good programmes about, including several on john surtees as you say a true gentleman, when he lost Henry my heart went out to him. Loved mike hailwood as well similar mentality. Rossi is for me a brand now and fair play to him he has earn it But not really for me and actually I’m a bigger roads fan (real racing) but I do love watching moto 3.

The save that Márquez did was nothing short of breathtaking, less than a second before he hit the gravel
The comeback through the field to even contemplate challenging for second was incredible riding, one of the best I’ve seen
The bravery he showed to even try and race was unbelievable, at least he had the sense to say I can race another day, if I crash I might not race again,
That’s the difference between the old Márquez and the new
Not a Rossi fan, never have been, met him at the Sepang test and he was pretty pleasant to talk to, met and chatted to Cal, Marc, Jack, Mav Dovi and a few others too and they were all approachable and easy going, it was a test, however they gave me and a few others their time, I doubt I’d got that out of F1 drivers
The person that impressed me most was Tito Rabat, a great character who always had a smile on his face and would always have a chat
Lunatics they all are, but boy can they ride a motorcycle

Was transfixed by Rossi when he first started racing. When he was on a 125 he was incredible to watch. He achieved a lot but there’s a time and a place to step down gracefully. Most of the greats do. Often being in the right place at the right time has a lot to do with it. Schumacher is in the same category for me. Both should have stepped down at the peak. As for the others, the requirements to be a ‘brand ambassador’ just spoil MotoGP for me, you get a glimpse of the real characters but mostly they are circus animals. Road racing much less so but headed in and direction..

He doesn’t lack speed at 99.9% it’s that final 0.1% he’s a 9 world champ but it’s inevitable you start to slow he was between 0.6 and 0.8 seconds per lap down on fabio which for most of us would incredible but at this level. I have the utmost respect for anyone who races from club level upwards they do something I’ve never done bar couple of track days. It scared me as much as I enjoyed it. I have even greater respect for the roads anyone that does that is for me another level again. Fabio is like another Lorenzo where Marc is a rodeo rider, just a shame it’s no longer 500 v4 two strokes 😁
