Naah Elsie is such an old name it won’t interest anyone called Elsie now if it was Chardonnay or Paris the knickers would be twitching in Cheshire.

Leave Cheshire out of it.. it's great, it's got Oulton Park, salt, and cheese, what's not to like And Chris Evans hails from there... Ohhhh crap!... that fooks it.....

You joking! You see more over in them council estates 😳 I'll admit I used to have one for my bike I'd rode 20 years accident free. Put it on my Fazer 1000 - binned it on a track night Then bought an R1 - wiped out on a local roundabout I'd went through a million times Fixed the R1 then punted it complete with the "jinxed" plate Steve

Why oh why do peple pay a fortune for private plates, is it a status thing?? A money thing?? I just don't get it,,, god! ninety percent of the time when I was younger I never wanted to advertise my plate on the lc, was as small as I could get it for obvious reasons,,, I did have a mk2 escort with def 7t plate on it bought from a doctor?, sold the car, and yrs later saw def 9t on some site for sale it was in the thousands,, did I kick myself that day,,, a bit lol,,

Some people get all funny about plates, such is life I guess. I saw two cops walk past my car a year or so back and heard them call me a w**ker cos of the plate and the type of car. Great bit community policing there chaps.
Here you can have what you want on the plate, cheapest costs you about 50 quid a year to keep it current but different amounts for different plates plus there is a one off fee for ordering the plates themselves, but we can have lots of colours and even designs on the plates. Football teams, checkerplate, cats and dogs... thats scratching the surface really as there are lots of options. We even have ads for it that are amusing :
Anyway, I have my plates cos they amuse me and sometimes they also amuse others so its all good. I dont smoke so figure the money can be wasted elsewhere.

I have bought the plate for my F1, in Australia it’s an RZ350R, so that’s what the plate is
I’m not allowed to have it until the bike is licensed, cost me $350 and it sits in the licensing department

Does that cost $25 a year Howard? it would be something like that in NSW.
The UK used to charge for plates on retention at £25pa, but stopped doing that a few years back and you can now renew for 10years for free which is nice.
