Owned my 31k hybrid for five'ish years now and in that time, the temperature gauge has failed, two speedos have failed (luckily 'Midlife' on this forum performed some magic and converted a KPH one to work in MPH, which it does beautifully, thank you) and yesterday the rev counter failed. Luckily i have spares for all these but are they always this unreliable or is it just bad luck?
As an aside, this weather is fantastic for biking and while i'm not working!!
Cheers Mouse

Think it's just bad luck mate
If the tacho has just stopped working check that the needle is not stuck to the stop
The needle rests are rubber and get tacky with age causing the needle to stick
May just be the heat that has done it π€

I think itβs in the weather or sunburst cycle. Saturday day my digital speedo display was blacked out. Sunday it functions again. I have a stock temperature gauge. Sometimes the meter is jumping. But not every day. May be make it lcd?
It is always a good idea to have spares. For the speedo i can use my garmin as an alternative. But I ordered a koso clone yesterday. May be a winter job to fit it.

When i fitted the 'nos' one i had it seemed the old one was also under reading by 500rpm! I don't know if it is repairable? Mouse

It's probably sh4gged
There isn't much in them so I'd suspect the main drive has failed
They are known for being as innacurate as 500rpm either way
