Metmachex Engineering are still operating, but the owner - Bill Ryde - sold the Metmachex swingarm part of the business to Garry and Tamsyn. Garry was working for Bill at Metmachex from the age of 16. So you've always been able to buy a Metmachex swingarm, but the last few years have seen Garry and Tamsyn running the swingarm business in their own right, as Metmachex Swingarms Ltd. Before Garry and Tamsyn owned the business, you would probably have dealt with Dean - Bill's son. Dean had no comprehension of good customer service unfortunately, and pissed off a lot of customers with his shitty attitude - I was one of those customers back in 2015 ! I had problems with the spacers he provided for my first Lc/Rgv swingarm, and subsequent spacers were wrong too, so I ended up doing the measuring myself and getting my local guy to knock some up. Dean was a nightmare to deal with when things weren't right. Plus, everything was an extra that you paid for with Dean - chain slipper £25.00, chain guard mounts, £25.00, paddock stand bobbins, £25.00, slotted chain adjusters, £60.00 etc. The arm I bought from Dean in 2015 was nearly £900 with the postage. I bought the same type arm, with paddock stand bobbins, slipper, and slotted adjusters from Garry and Tamsyn for £700 inc VAT last year !! And it was right first time, so no trips to my engineering guys ! When you look at the cost of buying an Rgv swingarm, and then getting someone Like NK Racing to do the mods for the Lc shock, you would be better off getting a Metmachex arm that retains the standard wheelbase. Plus they are one of the original aftermarket suppliers we used back in the day, so they really are a "period" mod. I always wanted a Metmachex arm, getting my first in 2015, and another 4 since ! Garry is an amazing engineer, and he is a perfectionist, which is great news for us It's rare to get the "complete package" of quality, value for money and fantastic customer service, but Garry and Tamsyn tick all the boxes for sure Dusty Appreciate the history thank you & I'm part way through my 4LO build and am already thinking of my next one which for sure now will have a Metchamex swing arm & I may even treat this on too..

The tz arm is more box section at the front traditional lc arms have two round uprights, the tz is more boxed that's the main difference. Dustys link is the one and they aren't anywhere near vinces prices
