anyone have any idea why the rear of my 31k saddle is kicking up at the rear past the catches where it should sit flush with the plastic tail piece . i have had it recovered and brought it back to the bloke that did it and he says its defo not to tight as i thought the problem may have been . is this a common issue with the plastic base , is there any cure ? thanks

I have a crack in the plastic shel. This can lead to your situation. I repaired 20years ago with a peace of plastic parkered at the crack.

It's too tight
If it fitted before and doesn't now the cover tension has bowed the base
I've sorted a couple by carefully heating the base with a hot air gun (careful as it will melt the base or cover) where it needs to bend then pushing it over a block to try and bend it back
