This is for a friends 350 F2,he had a leaking carb float bowl so he took it apart fitted a new gasket cleaned the pilot jet and reassembled it. He also fitted one new fuel line, the one from the tap that goes to both carbs, the line is 5mm inside diameter. It starts and runs but tickover is faster than it should be or used to be ,after a 3 to 4 mins it dies like its run out of fuel.We thought it might be the bore diameter of the new pipe as original ? appears to be 7mm inside bore diameter. We had it running with the fuel cap open to eliminate a blocked cap vent. I was not there when he dissembled unfortunately it so cant say what else was done.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Steve

Measure the fuel flow in a bottle.

Check he hasn't left the tap vacuum line disconnected or leaking
The tap probably passes enough to fill the bowls while left standing but when running they will be empty in a few mins
Would also explain the high idle due to the air leaking into the right carb
