😀 a mate of mine got caught out when he hired a road bike/racer in France. Hadn't touched the brakes until he was coming down hill and touched what he thought was the back brake, nearly cart wheeled forwards. I hadn't heard of the opposite mounted brakes until then.

Yep, its weird standards... like JDM/AUS car indicators, which are on the right!

Yep, its weird standards... like JDM/AUS car indicators, which are on the right! So in UK, push bike rear brake is on left and front is in right? Having only rear brake on this bike and lever on right makes sense in my mind as I only ever use the front brake on motorbikes

Yep. So BMXs like yours would only have a back brake, but on the LHS.
