A true legend and a great loss in what was a rather insignificant Estonian road race on his 125 IIRC.
Gone but certainly never forgotten.

The great man is missed. I can remember the time and place when I was told, such a loss.

One of the true greats particularly at the IOM TT. A true ambassador of the sport too, and a deeply respected individual with fans and riders alike. RIP.

Can’t see his TT record ever being beaten, Michael is the only one who could as he has age on his side, would need to cover more classes perhaps though.

I saw him in 83/84 in Mondello park which is in Kildare just outside Dublin. Said hello to him in the pits as he was having a smoke beside his road going CB1100R. Everyone just said hello to him and left him alone. Really cool unassuming man. He went on that day to set a new lap record on his CB1100R in the wet ! I remember thinking how can someone ride like that in the wet ! I also would have guessed 10 years since his passing but that's time for you ! Regards Terry

I came across some photos I took of him racing at skerries in the late 80's early 90's. I post them up later.
Pure Gentleman and legend.
