Morning all.
I am looking at (possibly) a hose inline temperature sensor and small LCD gauge for a more accurate temperature readout and to overcome my current non working temp gauge.
Questions please:
What is the internal diameter of the hose ??
Which hose is best to fit to ??
Any suggestions please ?? (Looking at Koso)
Cheers, Paul

I would fix your own gauge as should be easier. What is the fault? Have you tried shorting the sensor wire to the ground, which should make the gauge go to max?

Tried that, not working, have new (to me) working sensor as well. Thinking it is the gauge, so inline sensor with dash readout would be cheaper and, I believe, a more accurate measurement.

A screw in sensor from a new unit might well fit in the head, I know the Koso one I had did.

Yes its tapered, most modern ones are.
I think the kits from Koso can be ordered with diff sensors, not as an option but as a different kit etc.
Anyway, tapered thread with some sealant tape worked for me.

They are the koso senders you get Iv had two koso temperature gauges both straight fitted into my 4l0/4l1 heads. These are not tapered.

Yep. I’ve got the rectangle one and used the twin reading one both had the same senders. I presume The round one is the same spec unit just round. These fitted my 4l0 heads ok.

4LO are parallel PVs tapered Yamaha made 3 YPVS heads embossed with Y1, Y2 and the later Y3. As far as I remember the early ones are straight M10x1 while the later Y3 is tapered M10x1 (or maybe even a similar pipe thread?). Someone may confirm one way or the other? Jon
