Cool, cant wait for the pics. Always love an F1.
I assume this is a JDM model, not a local SA version being an 84?

Hope you're coming right with parts.... When I stripped mine recently there were some surprises. The bores were still original 64mm and the crankcase had never been opened. Even the crank looked good but the good luck didn't last. When I split the cases, I found a tooth broken off from 6th gear! Never seen that before....

Hi Brad, Thanks for the reply, I'm in Pretoria but visiting Cape Town regularly (normally) as we have an office in Cape Town. Mine is the '84 RZ350L. I bought mine for R 4000 from a colleague in KZN and you can imagine how it looked, it was abused. So complete rebuild to the last bolt and nut and because it was so abused the clocks and taillight is missing. I ordered a taillight from Yambits in the UK which is on its way with FedEx. My biggest challenge is the clocks but one of the members on the forum is helping me to locate a set. Engine wise I had to spend a lot of money, new crank assembly, new powervalve, new clutch (basket had broken teeth), bored to 1.0mm oversize. But I'm looking forward to the end product.
My e-mail is gtbmwgs@gmail.com if you want to mail me.
Regards.
Gideon

Welcome to the forum Gideon and was good to meet you in person. Nice to see a few of my fellow countrymen on here. A lot of knowleagable and good people here to help.
Hope you start a rebuild thread as i think that bike of yours are going to look great once done - compared to how it looks now.

Good luck with it. Spent a lot of time in SA for work, Jo'burg, Capetown, Durban and a few trips to Pretoria too, but many moons ago!
