If everyone is in self isolation and adhering to social distancing, how is anyone still catching it now?
I have seen recent news of several football clubs with multiple recent cases, so are they not following the guidelines?

Its a total nightmare. My wife is in the NHS on the district. Visits people who are positive all the time, very scary. I fear a second spike and if that happens I think the economy will suffer greatly, as if it hasn't already.

I would say it is almost inevitable that we get a second spike, I’ve been asked to go and work in secure hospitals these are secure for mental health reasons but some of their patients are still vulnerable.

Its a sad fact that when you give a bit more freedom to some people, they will quickly forget that 40,000 people are dead. This thing has not gone away.

It is tragic that 40000 people have passed away, despite some doctors saying that they have been pressurised in putting 'covid' on all death certificates to one side for a moment, lets assume that that number is indeed correct, it's still a relatively small percentage of the population. At the end of the day what are we all going to do? Stay locked away for ever, cause more deaths due to other illnesses etc, let the whole economy go down the pan?
This expert reckons that 80% of us are not even susceptible to it??

I was in A&E on Tuesday, they lift you, take blood, wipe you down, hand you a drink ...all at zero distance. Those imbeciles gathering on beaches, seafronts, beauty spots are taking the piss...and that's what the front line angels think. When you arrive in a&e, you are looked at for symptoms and then sent to an appropriate ward.... but if there are no symptoms, you can still be positive. The staff realise they could be infected at any time... but it does not stop the care and attention to patients. They have little good to say about those out partying....... I returned home to a party going on with 3 generations next door... Some people think that it's nothing to do with them and they wont get it and pass it on.... and all the time a good percentage of these morons are being paid in full or very near.......madness. It's a defining moment into the state of the nation. Thanks Angels

‘‘Tis a pity”it’s not more Darwinism led, sadly it doesn’t appear to differentiate between the thoughtful, caring sector of society and the oxygen thieves amongst us.

40,000 is way under
When you look at the figures of people who usually die and those that have actually died it's nearer 60,000
They are saying 2000 a day are testing positive, more like 8000 a day when you see how many are showing symptoms on the App. And let's face it if we are all staying at home as much as possible we shouldn't be catching anything.
It is impossible to stamp it out as it's so contagious.
Reckon a lot of the infections now are linked to care workers either catching it from patients or being Asymptomatic and passing it to others which they can't help
Then there is the Muppets not caring and not staying at home or socially distancing
Just remember the governments first defence on this was heard immunity. They ain't really changed this as the message has always been stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives
They can't stop it, they can only limit the numbers catching it at the one time
People catching it and dying in intensive care they can't help, people dying in corridors or at home cause their isn't any Hosp beds WOULD be their fault
The R hasn't really dropped the way they wanted it to but easing off restrictions anyway as they need to try and balance the disease with the economy
