Project is looking great! love the wheels they came out amazing. I'm doing my first full strip and restoration as well at moment (1990 RD350 YPVS F2). Looking at other builds is a great source of info Engine strip & rebuild will be the scary bit for me, that's phase 2 next year! Almost everything so far has been worse than it looked! The engine was scary for me too. It’s not that hard, take your time and take a lot of photos

Getting back at it. Going to fix the kickstand that’s worn out on the bottom.

lookz Bang-tidy. 30km is 18k in miles. A 350lc never really managed tht miles on the standard bore. 15k max. the crank could do it, tho. If it was well maintained. but it wud be time for a rebuild.

Looks like you have gone to a lot of trouble with that to get the original look. Well done. Best colour too. You can still get original rad guards cheap from Norbo or elsewhere, and he also does a decent copy rear reflector and bracket. The orange side reflector wasn't a UK thing, probably US or Canadian requirement.
Should be proud, now have fun riding it.

Just realised you are from Canada. Ignore some of above in that case.

A great thread and an even greater job. The bike looks fantastic and I too love the standard oem look. I have a Canada import exactly the same but low mileage and unused for years. I will be starting that shortly after I finish my current build.

Nice rebuild that came out beautifully! I’m just starting my Canadian 82 and I’m a little apprehensive with all the parts I’ve ordered (lots more to order), I really appreciate your final result and hope mine comes out nearly as nice! it’s a lot more expensive and involved than it looks. I’m in Ontario, it would be nice to get some of these finished lc’s together next Summer.

Your local dealer should be able to get you a rad guard Gord, check the prices before you buy a used one, often they are more than new...
Lovely work!
