Any curry/Indian food lovers on here? My wife works in Edinburgh a lot and goes to a place called dishoom( also in London) Always raves about the food and bought me the cook book as I love cooking and eating (Fat b*****d) I have cooked 8 or 9 recipes now they need some spices etc and some time (some need over night) but the food is simply amazing not just good but spectacular. So if you like cookery and Indian food I highly recommend their book.

When I was at work we had a curry night most weeks. One of the guys used to go to Southall, in west London, where all the Indians go for their ingredients. The cost of the spices, rice in bulk, etc was a fraction of what Tesco's and Sainsbury's etc would charge, and all the ingredients he bought were top quality. If you can find an Indian wholesaler, you will save a fortune Dusty

Brick Lane, Bethnal Green, East London - every other premis is an Indian restaurant. Went there for a curry and a few beers before we went to the Boxing at York Hall. Great night out Dusty

Balti capital of the world is Birmingham, a night out wouldn't be complete without finishing it off at a curry house in my younger days.
Once every few months if I'm lucky now.

Hottest thing I’ve ever had was a Chinese believe it or not, had a szechuan from a local place cooked hot and I couldn’t eat it.

I do love a good curry, my local used to be the Matlock Bath Balti, well worth dropping in there if you ever go to M/Bath on the bike. Get one of their special naan and can even spice it up with chilli. Always said they should open up a hatch and sell em to the bikers out the window and they were tempted. Curries are good too, can have em mild for the wimps or hot as hell for those like Russ (and me)

If you want a really good laugh, look up NRL Footy Show - Chilli dangers,
its an Australian Rugby League program from 2001
It is a scream, the short video doesn't quite do it justice, however you'll get the picture

Not into cooking/preparing food myself but like all Indian curry’s, if that’s what they are. Read somewhere that what we get is the English version, whatever, they go down well and are supposed to be good for you.

Hi Veg
The Club ?
Has Jack Thompson & Graham Kennedy in it, also features Mike Brady's hit song Up There Cazaly, about a player named Roy Cazaly
It made the charts in the UK in the late 70's, I remember hearing it on the radio back then
The film is based loosely on the Collingwood Football Club
The club all AFL fans love to hate
