Well, after watching BoJO's statement tonight, it looks like we can get out on the bikes, as you can now "travel to destinations" not sure i would go to the usual bike haunts just yet but a sedate run out looks ok now.....

My thoughts were the same... seems like we can take a ride out for a bit of exercise. Might take a run up to Scarborough seafront on Wednesday!

Not this side of the wall! Jimmy Krankie says NAW!! Stay home, stay safe. No matter where you are, stay safe everyone and “keep alert” 😂

Bearing in mind modern petrol goes off/takes on moisture, how well has it kept in fuel station tanks? Been using an additive myself which also works retrospectively and some separate the ethanol, it’s just something to bear in mind if filling up and only using some of the tank then parking the bike for a long period.

But only England and Wales not Scotland so you can ride to the border but no further. Great planning by her. Im not truly convinced by Johnson and thus far we haven’t proven to be ahead of the game compared to the majority of Europe.

I reckon he is just being a Tory and wanting people back to work, off furlough and paying tax again He will be more worried about the economy than a few life's That's why he delayed the lock down and started the "heard immunity" sh1te. Heard immunity only works with non fatal stuff Lets see what the London R rate is in 3 weeks 🙄 Also if you live in Berwick upon Tweed can you drive to Eyemouth (either side of the border) for a fish supper and a walk on the beach? The water seems more muddy than it was. Maybe he'll give extra clarity tomorrow but it appears from Wednesday you can go wherever you want (in England) without fear of a fine. Best get cracking on the final flourish with the KTMahumph!

It's a case of be buggered if you do, be buggered if you don't. No win situation for any political decision. In 2018 an average of 1600 people died on each day... No virus around then. Headlines now when 750 die in a day (no body tells us the total number of deaths on the same day)...and how many of those deaths would be cross over statistics against those deaths in 2018. Our local hospital is like a ghost town... my mrs is on a 4yr course of treatment and has been extremely lucky that she was able to continue with it, I on the other hand have had 1 cancelled appointment and a long wait till end of july for scans. Who is protecting who from what?? I don't get it...the hospital is f**king empty!!! A friend with cancer has been affected with a delay in scans and god knows how many others with "none serious" problems have too. People pulling their own teeth out because of the pain from an abscess and swollen face. And if 500000 (figure banded about if "we did nothing") people died it would be 0.74% of the population. I may be high risk...but... I do not consider myself worthy of any "protection" at the cost to my son and his generation, and the country's future and position.
And 2 facts that are irrefutable.
1. 100% of people who catch corona virus will die. 2. 100% of people who do not contract corona virus will die.
My view on it all has changed considerably, partly to seeing absolute f**ktard behaviour of the public.

It is very odd my brother in law welcomed a new baby boy in the world yesterday he asked if they were busy with the virus they said no not one bit they are only busy with staff off and other hospitals shutting down wards and services

What’s that saying? Stupid is as stupid does. The gay couple next door who don’t like bikes, sometimes shout at bikers passing even pre lockdown, while engaging with the more than usual walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Who is the more vulnerable? Meanwhile, there seem to be twice as many buses, all empty.

You would of thought the lockdown ended last Monday on the traffic on the roads I’ve been working all through this and the level of people and traffic got a lot busier the media didn’t help by saying the lock down is easing

Im not truly convinced by Johnson. He's not convinced by himself either I think. I'm far from being a fan of Piers but he's "load of old flannel" did make me laugh. From 3.54 minutes in.

Personally I think that we are stuck with this virus for years, just like the flu one, vaccine doesn't work 100% on that either.

If you do decide to go for a ride, best be very careful,.....listen from 10.31 minutes in.

Yep nothing unusual or odd, as lots on here know I’m ex job and know exactly the games being played with revenue creation etc there is also frequently a lack of understanding of the law by front line uniform officers who tend to be the least experienced and generally young in service and quite often supported by mobile uniforms aka pcso. It’s policing on the cheap, and those officers with experience who left in the past 10 years ( over 30,000) haven’t been replaced.

If you do decide to go for a ride, best be very careful,.....listen from 10.31 minutes in. In the early days of these courses I lived across the road from one of the venues and got talking to smokers on a break on the pavement, a car ( woman driver ) came the wrong way up a one way street and parked outside. I said to one of the blokes who turned out to be running things, who’s that? It was the Road safety officer for half the county or something, said to him to bollock her but he said I can’t say anything!! I did though and she just got all snotty saying ‘I’m an advanced driver’ ffs .

There was a bit more to it than that, I assumed the test meant making good progress, but she goes oh no I didn’t go over the speed limit, so I said so you are highly trained to the dizzy heights of the speed limit, that didn’t go down well either.

Proper advanced is making progress using the full potential of the vehicle and the roads otherwise there is no point in doing it, basically she wasn't a police driver and had been given a role for which she had to do the 'advance' test?

There is an excellent way to kick the system in the gonads regarding the cash cow that is a speed awareness "course"
Just keep to the fookin speed limit. They'll all go bust.
Quite frankly the whole thing stinks.. jobs for the boys......

If you do high speed on your own bike you can be jailed and heavily fined. If you steal a car and cause umpteen thousands of pounds worth of damage to other vehicles and infrastructure and do that bike speed and kill someone the jail sentence may be no more and the fine lower. If scum had to pay their way even if it took the rest of their life, get some needed budget that way. There is no incentive for them to be a normal part of society, unfortunately.
