Brilliant work, as always Steve. I think you can get away with painting the plastic parts on the engine. I've never seen a rear mudguard, number plate holder or rad guard painted, that look top draw. Great build for "leftovers" mate

Great build for "leftovers" mate Cheers Mark If it was still summer I'd probably have made an attempt on painting the left case but it's cold and damp now and I can't be bothered degreasing the crud off the inside . I found 3 when I was looking in the garage rafters 🤣 You are right on the other plastics though, not worth the effort to just not look quite right I have a muddy and a reg plate holder to cut so nothing will be seen on them lol Still got some "nice" bits to fit that are hanging around the garage 😎 Need to play Russian roulette with radiators. I have 3 but I'm sure one has a weep Steve

My next job is the fuel tap too. Will follow your tip thanks as my project came with various tap bits and a repair kit. Not sure if its Tourmax though but will give it ago. I'm quite familiar with 4L0 taps but not these vacuum ones so will be a school day for me.

One bit of advice when doing a ypvs tap When you take the plate off that holds the rotating valve in AND the actual rotating bit mark both of them which way was up as both can go back in 2 ways If you get them wrong it either throws out where the stops are or whether it turns clockwise or anticlockwise from the 12 o clock position Steve

Is that a clue to your paint scheme? Afraid not but I've always fancied doing a candy blue one It will be in standard early lc2 black scheme. There is a pic of the tank on page 3 Steve

New side case fitted Had a little issue with the bottom bolt beside the gear change That section of the case was missing so I had a donor piece from a scrap case welded in and it was slightly off so a little filing to sort it Steve

Is it a WR or something like that The clutch lever is a Fazer one which needs a couple of small spacers. One each side to fill the space in the Lc2 perch May have a pair of stumpy ones and the spacers 🤔 Steve

Few small jobs tonight Painted a radiator and cleaned out the coolant expansion tank so bolted that on. Removed the centre stand (it would be ok left on but the swinger has bobbins so not needed) Then fitted the exhaust stubs ready for the pipes to go on Hopefully get the rad on tomorrow Steve

20 minutes with the heater on before I went out and the shed is toasty 😊 Fitted the exhausts and then nipped up the bolts I've messed around and managed to get the side stand so it just grazed the pipe so I'll trim down the spring mushroom and notch the fork at the pivot end like I did on my last build so the stand sits higher Very happy with them, they are Mutts/Alonze pipes in stainless Steve
