Iggy switch fitted in Fazer top yoke Had to cut the mounting pillars back quite a bit, redrill and tap to m6 and grind a bit out the ignition surround to get the switch to the height where the steering lock worked Steve

That is why I now take my time and just build the parts as they arrive. I cannot make the post move any faster so I do my bit to stay calm and just go at that pace. That said I have blown my top when ordering parts and after a lengthy wait the wrong bits arrive Now that IS a bas*ard. On the plus side, you have not been βsemiβ locked down (yet). The parts will arrive soon enough and you will be on yer way again. Johnπ

Hangers baked for 30 mins then fitted NOS front and rear pegs π Steve Have you got any 'leftovers' on this build that aren't NOS or not rebuilt with NOS parts? I have the odd new part for mine that look 2nd hand compared to your leftovers!!! Scabby oil tank fitted just for you π It's even had a mounting tab repaired π Steve

Couple of small jobs done Trimmed the bottom edge of the inner muddy to clear the arm, fitted the rear brake pedal (waiting on a return spring) and fitted a new pattern 5/8 master cylinder mated to a stubby billet lever. Waiting on the pivot bush for the clutch lever. Steve

Cheers Mark, just need to get the bloody hangers to fit now π Had to space them out 11mm (don't ask, it's what I had lol) to get them to clear the swing arm brace so the brake pedal now hits the plate at the lower mount It was the same on the last build but the 1ua hangers were thinner there so just used a countersink bit and a countersunk bolt to solve it On the 31k ones the bolt is recessed into the thicker hanger so I'm going to have to extent the brake pivot lug to move it over 5mm then machine the hanger thinner and countersink the bolt Nothing simple Steve

You sum it up perfectly, nothing simple

Sometimes you read someone has had to modify something to get it to fit / work but without the specific details. This makes you realise the consequences of modifying something is sometimes going to mean modifying a lot more and the amount of thought / work that goes into it is a lot more involved than you might think. The ripple comment above is also great terminology.

Clutch kit finally arrived. After 10 days I started a claim on ebay as I'd realised it wasn't even marked as dispatched. Said they had posted it same day but Royal Mail must have lost it. Sounded like a load of crap as it was supposed to be Hermes. Refunded straight away, never offered a replacement and said if it turned up I could keep it π Bought elsewhere, dearer but at least it arrived in 2 days Went for the EBC drc043 kit which is meant for the banshee Frictions, steels and springs for Β£76 Steve

Oil pump drive and water impeller refitted in the cover. New seals and circlips of course π As it's a "leftovers" build I've fitted a non genuine water pump seal for the first time. It's SKF so should be fine Just waiting on paint drying on the water pump plate and I can fit that too Steve

I thought 29L was the F2 model? Cheers Arrdy

There were some 51L's in the middle This is why a lot of 350 ypvs parts have a 29l part number as that's what they originally came off The later f2 is 1ua/1wt but still has a lot of 29l and 31k parts on it Hope that helps Steve

Been look in at ride height again π€ I've got the shock at its longest. Hard to tell without bodywork but still looks low. May just be that the retro build was jacked quite high so it makes this look low Got some new shorter tie bars made to give it a bit more height and I've got 10mm to play with on the shock if too high Steve

Struggling to find anything that looks like ' leftovers' on this build......do you plan to do a ' load of ol' scrap' build in the future? Perhaps we might find something that looks 2nd hand even if it's only been used once.π
