Hi guys
It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. My LC2 has sat for at least 5years after a full rebuild. Like most, I’ve got a bit more time at the moment so I started her up. 20 kicks later and away she goes, not bad!
Two things I’ve noticed are a whinning Rev counter and she smokes a lot. Is there anything that can be done about the noisy Rev counter and is anyone able to post a link to how to check/setup the oil pump please so I can double check this. I haven’t done this for a while and my Haynes is at my dads house.
Thanks James

Has your oil pump been to Arrow? If not it might be worthwhile sending it to him to be checked and set up.

No I don’t think it’s been anywhere. Can they be serviced/adjusted then?

Best to get it cleaned out and new seals
The check valves get stuck with crud then the tank slowly syphons into the engine making it smokey
As for the tacho take the clocks apart and carefully oil the speedo head (the bit that spins off the cable)
If you keep using it you will shag it
