The new rad is about 50mm wider than the old one and about 30mm taller. The new core is 36mm thick compared to around 20mm before.
The old rad still let the temperature get up to low 80s in the hot weather, but want it more like 60 to 70...

I got the mesh and stainless bar, and Nick at Tuffweld got the ends cut and bent, then he welded it together and cut the corners off. I drilled the holes in the sides allowing room for some foam strips to be fitted between the rad and the grill. Going to cut some vinyl Japanese symbols to go on the sides after it is polished.

It says "Liquid Cooled" in Japanese.
I like the Japanese symbols, as it goes with the Japanese RZ style decals.

Passed MOT :-)
Now taxed and all legal. Went to the biker Cafe for a shakedown run. Got to adjust the chain guard as the chain keeps tinkling it. Need to clean right carb as has a slight leak, so need to check needle valve and seat. I have a stainless clock bracket, but the clocks keep bouncing as it is not as rigid as an OEM bracket, so I will change back to a green one. The rev counter is reading low, so will have to swap that out, so will do that at the same time I get the clock bracket off.
Overall, not too bad for a first ride.

Only one other bike at the Cafe so not many people seen it yet.
Rad is a bit too efficient for this cooler weather. Sticking around 50c

Sorted right carb. The o-ring was passing fuel on the needle valve seat. Replaced seat, needle and o-ring. Now leak free :-)
Looks like the speedo also needs looking at, as seems to oscillate about +/- 2mph all the time...
Will sort another set of clocks and swap it all over in one go.
Temps still sitting around 49c to 52c, so need to make a blank to cover part of the radiator. I will try cutting some acrylic and bend the end over and put in behind the grill.

Took it out again today for a 130 mile run. Temps were between 52c and 57c, so not far away from where I want to be.
I am getting used to caning it again :-)
