As above
No one has ever had an acceptable outcome
If you can't find a good one Then have your holey one welded up and lined

Thanks! Fairly conclusive! And just as I had expected. I understand that new tanks of a decent quality are available for LC's, does anyone know of good reproduction 31k items ? Or, does anyone know of a good second hand item for sale. Mine is hanging. Literally dozens of pinholes together with some holes the size of your fingernail. These are up the sides and over the tunnel...too far gone.

Thanks Jon, I'm going to struggle there....I've just bought my dream bike (32 yrs of dreaming!) as a finished restoration. The seller finished about six years ago, couldn't get it to start then left it in the corner of the garage for his other bikes..hence the tank is wonked. I've took some advice about green and red CDI wires from here, and it's now running..very smokelly...I'll have a cracking bike once I've sourced a tank. I can't think what other posts I need to make, apart from how to fix a squealing tacho?!!!

For the Tacho squeal just un screw the cable and push some grease up the cable entry in the Tacho Then refit the cable

Cool you got there!
As an aside, we'll probably see more people asking about Indian tanks after the MCN article about LC. Bunch of fidiots printing that, sigh... Anyway, we need a forum banner that says 'No you shouldnt buy an Indian tank!'

Kosaprasa is his user name. His actual name is Dejan. I and many on here can vouch for his parts. Jon

Many of us will vouch for Dejan
He is over in Slovenia but is very reasonable for shipping costs
