If i buy a bike from the continent what do i need with it? It isn't road registered although it is a road bike, doesn't come with the equivalent of a V5, thinking of Nova, registering it here etc etc

Not experienced at buying from europe, but certainly from the states...if it has no registration document (title) then it will need a dating certificate in order to get a registration here in the uk. The nova status will depend on whether you have declared the purchase to the hmrc...i.e. once any duty (if due) has been settled it will be cleared on the nova system.

Name and address of the seller and ideally a receipt but that's not really needed
You do the nova yourself once you get it (hence the name, address and receipt)
Dating letter and mot when ready to register and your done

Paul Dawkins is your lad. He sorted out my German 350LC for me.

You need to register it on Nova. Without that and a dating later and an MOT you will not get an age related V5. As for the European sellers name and address, as you bought the bike through eBay then the sellers name and address (that you enter on the NOVA document) can't realistically be validated, neither can the "receipt" !!!!

Thanks for all the advice I’m about to register my Austrian one but possibly looking at bringing one in as well.
