Hey guys just finished the X7 project and typically want to go in a maiden voyage and the roads are crap ! All I need now is the engine case decals to finally finish her off so if anyone has spare ones for sale pm me by all means here’s a pic and a vid of her running this morning I’ve given it 6 heat cycles so just want a short road test sometime 😀 can’t send a vid on here for some reason could someone advise me how ?

Please do come round and I'll have a go on it! With regards to the engine decals, have you tried/spoken to the image works? They can reproduce most things.

First time I’ve done anything as big but I’m well pleased with the result

Naughty lad! lol I posted via Tapatalk loading piccies that way, as being a novice poster I don’t know how to post any other way fromMy phone, and don’t know how to do it from my PC with piccies and couldn’t find the restoration page on my app. So my apologies guys for my terrible faux pas smacked are accepted😂😂😂

The engine decals are ok but not a patch on the real 1’s that’s why the decals from image works will be temporary russ I bidded on two sets recently but was outbid both times most likely by you russ or tony wall 😂😂😂

The side panel decals are mk2 I think and the tank mk1 what happened there pal? like I’ve explained guys this is mister novice here I ordered what I thought was correct giving the bike’s year etc and that is what I got? But as it’s a working and usable bike I’m happy with what in I’ve achieved i wasn’t going for concours standard. The other aspect is concours is in my opinion is prohibitive as the end result generally greatly exceeds the actual value of the bike. It’s ok for the rich guys to do lol . I suppose I could very easily redo the side panels correctly as I’ve got another set I can do, thanks for the observation russ

It was just a wee go round the block I was after mate. I don't ride anymore. Since having two new knees, it just doesn't seem the right thing to do anymore, if that makes sense, but cheers for the offer.

It looks mint pal, side panel stickers suit the mk2 exhausts! white is the best colour by far, except green and purple that is! Nice to see another saved and will be used.

That looks fantastic Peter Exactly the same as the one I had in 84/85, with 3000 miles on the clock ! I do love an X7, and you've done a lovely job there Dusty

I know the 250lc was supposed to have more horse power, but my mate had an X7 back in the day, and it was bloody quick! Proper head bangin' machine it was.

I bought mine brand new in 1979 in white exactly as this one is but only had it a month before I wrapped it and me around two trees resulting in a very poorly bike and even more poorly Peter with a broken leg collar bone ribs and a cracked neck 360 miles only done. Cost me £740 new then
