Does anybody know a stainless polisher that does small batches? I have a top yoke bolt and a set of 10 YPVS head bolts I want polishing. There's a really good polisher by me who want £1.30 + vat to polish each bolt, but has a minimum charge of £35 + vat and I don't have anything else that needs polishing! Ta

If you have a bench grinder you could buy a polishing wheel and do it yourself

I stick my small bolts n'stuff in a drill, and do it myself, I try to make some sort of adaptor to fit the chuck, and use scotchbright pads, and then a cloth and whatever polish you prefer to use Autosol/Belgom/T-cut etc etc

I've got a decent polishing set up you can use, for the money involved have a go yourself.

DIY, its quite easy
I did the unpolished stainless yoke bolts and bearing caps I bought off Norbo
Came up a treat, took all of about 15 min per set
Put the drill (gently) in a vice with a 3" mop head on it, used the polishing clay that came with the mop heads and Bob's your uncle - shiny

I have a small lathe and a polishing kit (although I have no idea which colour compounds do what!) and use it to polish allen head bolts. But if I do the head and yoke bolt, I'm concerned I'll polish one of the hex flats and put marks in the flange. I also need to try and get the machining marks out. Ian
