Hi All,
I've had Sumitomu front calipers from an FZR400 3TJ on my YPVS for a few years, the brake is better than standard but still not great, requires a full hand pull. Probably the master cylinder is a mis-match. Anyone know of anything which will suit, like off of a Fazer or something? The 3tJ one's are hard come by and have a remote reservoir which I don't want to fit.
Cheers Rob

masters work on size. you probably have a 5/8 or a 1/2 now. if you want less pull but also less feel then moving to a larger master may work work you.

I am running R6 calipers in my YPVS and I went to a master cylinder off a 2003 FZ1. Looks stock and still has the mirror mount on it. Cost me $40.00 off eBay. My brakes are now a 1 finger affair.

If using normal handlebars then the fazer 600 or 1000
LC style with mirror mount
For clip ons fz 07/09 master is more angled so sits better on downward angled bars

What M/C would you use if using single blue spot caliper on a 250.

What M/C would you use if using single blue spot caliper on a 250. 4L1 or YPVS? On my LC, I have a single blue spot on a 320mm disk and have found the YBR125 11mm front master cylinder with braided line to be the best feel. Standard mirror, brake light switch and brake lever all fit straight on.

I use a TDR250 one. Slightly "firm" feeling, but it stops OK

Its for my TZR250 I am restoring, but decided to swap the calliper to a blue spot. I have thought about going mad and getting a brembo radial for it.

I used a Yamaha Zuma master cylinder on my 75RD350 when I converted it to a single R1 blue spot caliper. Here in the US they are plentiful and cheap. The feel is perfect. They are 11MM bore.
