Hi guys. Just spoke to Gaz on phone. His brother's leg is pretty bad but toes move and are correct colour .He has a couple of rods on it now and a cage and is awaiting further diagnosis for treatment and how to fix.
As you can imagine gaz is pretty upset at the moment and i know you will all understand and appreciate this but he has asked me to say again he will be off the forum until his personal life situation is better and he feels ready to come on again.
He says to let all you guys who are awaiting replies to pm's or for parts etc to please bear with him.He doesn't want people to think he is ignoring them but when he is ready he will be back to reply etc. I said to him you will all understand and that his personal life comes first.
If i hear anymore news from him i will keep you all posted.
Thanks guys.

well gaz ive been thinking of investing in some decent protective gear and this has finaly made it him home thats its time to give up the jeans and trainers occasionaly work boots and get some propper gear, all the best and i hope he has a fast recovery, simon
what ive never understood is that the police dish out fines for car drivers not wearing seat belts, surly all the 16 year old lads on scooters with track suite bottoms and no gloves are worse.im not one for judging anybody and il hold my hands up to jeans and trainers but perhaps the law should tighten up to a minimum of helmet, protective jacket and gloves?

Gaz, Best wishes to your brother. Makes you shudder when you see something like this happen. You can tell by the state of the bike that he wasn't going very quickly. Had a puncture a month ago on the R1 in the rain, on the motorway. @rse twitcher. Keep ya chin up.

Bloody Hell !!!!! ., only just seen this post Jeez , I feel for the lad , glad to see he's on the mend Gaz Times like that are tough on everyone , it reminds me when my mate hit a car head-on @100mph+ , he broke all but a handfull of bones , he was in the Hospital for just over 7 months and his entire body had cages like that round it. His injuries were far worse than what Barry Sheene sustained. Best Wishes to you and your's Gaz......Bruv will be fine...you'll see

Alright gaz.Good to hear he's finally home.As young scott says hospitals are not the best places to be.......make people depressed just being there.HOME is the place to be and where you can feel better and start the recovery. I might move up north if there's lots of ladies wearing belts as skirts though ;D even if they are fools enough to go on a bike like that. How good would they look after a meeting with the asphalt? Tarmac acts as a great abrasive against skin Glad to hear the good news m8.Give ur bro my best wishes for a speedy recovery Now......about that loom m8 ;D

good to hear he is getting better
that cleaning of the pins reminds of when I was in hospital as a boy and the guy opposite was in traction for a broken thigh bone and the used to turn a pin in his lower leg daily to stop the bone kniting to it makes shudder just thinking of it
