I haven't been to one since 1997 so was a little surprised at how much smaller the whole thing was compared to twenty-odd years ago. Still lots to see though, and the Monday is always a good day as it is so much quieter than the weekends. A few of the Sheene Suzukis on their stand that look great together .. The ten-speed 125 twin that he raced in 1970 - second in the Championship to Nieto, which led to a TR750 ride the following year .. And young Whitham, looking well despite everything he's been through over the last eighteen months or so ..

I went and had a really good day out. Went on the Saturday and enjoyed it. Did anyone see the Vincent White Shadow start up. Awesome machine considering it was made in 1949 or so. Sounded beautiful as well. The lovely Yamaha RD500 as well as all of the Ducati 916's there. Some nice machinery there. I had a ride out on a KTM Superduke in the free ride outs, a little violent but nice machine. Wouldn't buy one though as don't KTM stand for Keep Taking Money.

Lol, could say that about any modern bike though, even when you work on them yourself, the parts alone seem expensive.

Lots of electric bikes too. Well designed and didn't look much different to a 'proper' bike, but I looked at the price on one and it was £23,000.
