Hi everyone ,I've got a new addition to my workshop ! I've picked up a nice boxford lathe ,it was in a school from new until the mid 90 s , I've got lots of extras with it to ,I do have the use of them at work but I allways wanted one at home ! Perfect for spacers etc etc and generally peeing about ! π

Fixed steadyβs are fetching good money for them. The only thing which is disappointing with them is the bore hole size through the headstock, limits the size of stock you can put through.

Iβve always referred to this as βup the spoutβ.
My Myford super 7 with quick change gearbox has this limitation.
I use the lathe at work for bigger stuff, but I love using my Myford at home.

Awesome work as always Chris Pipes look fantastic. And brilliant that you have your own lathe at home now. The ability to make spacers and other parts as and when you need them cant be underestimated ! You are not far off firing this up now Dusty
