Hi Chris This is what I'm using on the Cafรฉ racer build; 20191119_180539 by dusty miller, on Flickr Height - 90mm Width - 120mm Depth - 60mm Weighs less than 500 grams Great for a modded bike due to smaller size, huge weight saving, and as there is no acid, you can lay it down, put it on it's side etc. Dusty I have one of those in my KTM350 EXC-f had it for years and never goes flat... fires up first time everytime... I bought what i thought to be the same off ebay (bargin) Total Shit wouldn't turn the Misses Little AJP240 over kept going flat and then wouldn't charge. Make sure you don't go for the cheap cheap

Hi guys, Not much to report, I've ordered a set of rear sets i think i can use on the bike i will just have to make mountain brackets and weld them onto the frame. I gave an old TZR fork tube to my mate, he works in precision engineering, he's going to cut 50mm off it and recut the thread for the fork cap (just as a trial). I'll just have to cut the spacer to suit and leave the spring its actual length. I think my biggest task will be the seat really not sure where im going with it yet as i dont even have a seat haha..also i've made a stainless steel shock pin i'll add a few pics. Thanks Chris IMG_20191103_204336 by Chris, on Flickr I use TZR running gear in my LC hybrid. I did exactly as you are suggested an got the forks shortened by 40mm. The picture is after they were done. A little over ยฃ100 from ABE a few years ago. rdlccrazy.proboards.com/post/231126Jon

Hi , Just a few pictures of what i've been upto. Martin Johnson sent me a rough cut pipe to mount and test fit to see if there is any modifications needed before he sends me the kit for both pipes. It's a good first attempt just a few tweaks needed here and there. I have decided i will be making my own end cans to go with them. I have Martins pipes on my TZR 250 and they work brilliantly he sent them to me in kit form and i fab'd them up on my bike he is very helpful and a great guy. My mate has cut 50mm off my old fork tube just for a test cut and rethread it went well, now he will be cutting,re-threading my forks for this build. Other than that progress is a bit slow. hi . just been getting my gear linkage set up on my dummy hangers ,made a bracket for the rear master cylinder ,tacked that on for now in case it has to be moved hopefully not though !been busy de-lugging the frame also cleaning the stock welds up i've made some nice new gussets up and tacked in place got some more to do in other places . I'm happy so far with how its going i'm waiting for the alloy foot peg hangers to come back from the lazer cutters little perk of my job and the guy in the drawing office being a good ol boy ... chris IMG_20191210_173641 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191210_182357 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191210_191137 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191211_181108 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191211_182841 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191211_184858 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191211_185010 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191211_185205 by Chris, on Flickr

Looking great Chris Those front gussets look good. I did the same under the seat area. At the time I thought I would get the same done at the front but didn't bother, and have since wished I had !! I had spent a fair amount of money at my engineering place at that point and it had to stop somewhere !! I may be getting my old aircooled back, and I have plans for that !! Have you decided on a seat yet ? Keep up the great work Dusty

Not something you see said on this forum every day... Those front gussets look good. Dusty I agree tho, I reckon they look great and thats one place the LC got some and then they got bigger again on the ypvs. Yam did it for a reason of course.

hi , i had a hour tonight so made two more bracing gussets tacked them in .i am happy with everything so i welded it all up i had to drill two small holes in the underside of the frame tubes to let the pressure out that builds up with the heat ,i weld them little holes up last, there only 3mm .i might brace around the swing arm pivot yet but not 100% yet . alloy footpeg hangers will be here next week from the lazer cutters happy days. chris IMG_20191212_171157 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191212_173318 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191212_174134 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191212_173307 (1) by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20191212_175322 by Chris, on Flickr

I used to to weld cars for a living, you can see the weld penetration is perfect with no spatter as it was cleaned up properly before you welded, you see some terrible welding by novices, credit where its due mate.

hi bud thanks , it's my job second nature I suppose ๐๐ Know where to come now when I need something welded!!! I used a tig welder so there's no spatter with that but the steel still had to be clean free from scale etc ๐๐
