Hi everyone lovely weather π I have re made my top shock mount today. I had to open it out to take the new shock, this time I have welded in some st st tophat bushes so its hard wearing for the shock bolt! So it's ended up better ,and it all fits up really nice so I'm chuffed and back on track ! I also made some quick temporary no plate brackets to get a feel to see how the plate will sit so I cut down an old plate I had laying around bent some alloy up and bolted it on I think it goes well what you guys think? Still waiting for my rear light should be here next week π thanks Chris IMG_20200925_165234 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_171508 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_171525 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_181415 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_181450 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_181512 by Chris, on Flickr IMG_20200925_181528 by Chris, on Flickr

Hi everyone ! I received my rear light from digital Speedos so I've made a little bracket and welded it in place, I wanted a nice small one to tuck up under the seat keeping it tidy at the rear I think it works well . PXL_20201003_122032340 by Chris, on Flickr PXL_20201003_183434618 by Chris, on Flickr I also brought the correct size sprockets to check the chains not going to eat the top of the swinger ! With a bit of research I've got 17 /37 and I'm pleased to say it's all good doesn't run the Swinger at all I've got a LC chain slipper to go on the swing arm too .I will need an offset front I just need to bring my straight edge home from work to check how much ! But I'm not far away for powder coating happy days ππ PXL_20201003_180911740 by Chris, on Flickr PXL_20201003_181004168 by Chris, on Flickr PXL_20201003_180927448 by Chris, on Flickr PXL_20201003_182842525 by Chris, on Flickr

Red is my favourite colour so anything with red in looks good to me. I had thought of going with a gun metal and black or even a darker grey scheme. But I have about 30 different schemes in mind.......I'm glad I am nowhere near having to make a decision. Looking forward to seeing your decision. Do you know where you are having the powder and paint done?

Hi everyone been working on the chain run ,had a good work out with spacer's etc ,so I'm going with a 17 mm spacer behind the front sprocket and a 9 mm offset front sprocket from talon !! 17 tooth on the front and I've got a 37 on the rear ! I'm pleased to say its all good, clears the frame and swing arm nicely π,just got to weld a 6 mm plate on the foot of the stand and take the bend slightly out of it, to make the bike stand up right more ,then I'm sure it's strip down and powder coating time ππ Chris P.S Thanks to Dusty for the information hes helped me with ! Good news mate It's surprising how much the chain can deviate from dead straight, with no ill effects. Dusty

Hi Sidney, I don't know much about aircooled RD's, but if the sprockets were for a water cooled engine that would be an enthusiastic choice for top and speed. Is this standard gearing for the windy type?

Is this standard gearing for the windy type? hi bud yes it shouldn't be far off stock ,I've taken in consideration it's now on a 17 inch rear wheel not 18 . I will see how it goes when running I can allways go up on the rear if need be π,

I have a very slight issue with the chain hitting the pipe, im fitting a roller. did you offer up you exhaust to check chain clearance?

I don't have a issue with my pipes luckily ,I made them so when I tacked them up I had the chain on to make sure it was clear !! ,I've seen your roller it looks good , looking forward to see if it works good ππ

Hi everyone little update if you're interested! I'm making a bike bench for the workshop !! Fed up with being on my knees !! I ordered some 50x50 box in at work and cracked on !! Got it tacked it this evening goiyin tommrow to weld it up !! I've got some heavy duty castors for Β£15 from e bay to go on , when built it will be 520 mm tall thats a nice height when a bikes on top and it's 650 mm wide!!,as it's on wheels i can push it to the side and even keep a bike on it all the time !! I was going to put alloy chequer plate on top but instead I'm going for 18 mm ply ,it's softer to put parts on ! And the alloy sheet is Β£100!!! so ply it is ,will add strap lug's on to strap the bike down !!I'll update tommrow when it's on its wheels πChris Waiting for Flickr to be fixed for the pictures ππ PXL_20201009_162116658 by Chris, on Flickr PXL_20201009_182819181 by Chris, on Flickr
