First one on the ramp. Fired it up, then started stripping it.

Oh yes, had a Gpz750 uni track with M and P turbo fairing, rode a turbo once and nearly rode into the back of a bus, like an lc on steroids.

I have just bought a similar bike: 1984 GPz900R A1, first model, low miles and low owners. Its pretty much original except the exhaust.
Not really sure how far to go with it yet, once I collect it the condition of the frame under the bodywork will dictate….
Looking forward to your updates.

Nk NIGEL KIMBER is building a gpz900 special along the lines of a sanctuary motorcycles look. Lots of early Hinckley triumph parts are interchangeable with the gpz900 rx1000 zx10 as when they developed them they started in a unit in the old courtaulds building in foleshill Coventry and used to buy £1000’s of spares from Nck north Coventry Kawasaki. I worked there ya the time.

Time will tell…..

I don’t have a link as it is his own bike, but spoken to him about it he has fitted a triumph swing arm as it’s far beefier etc

I think I saw that bike at his workshop last time I went, as I might be using a Triumph swingarm in my Turbo...

Great looking bikes, and fairly rare nowadays. A fella I used to work with periodically has an original, mint low miles Gpz turbo. He is keeping it as an investment and never rides it. Shame as you never see them about. Enjoy the rebuilds Dusty

Paul is refurbing a lot of the parts as they are coming off. The box of wrapped up items are the ones pretty much ready to bolt back on. Paintwork is not too tricky since his garage is also a body shop! :-)
