This thread is a little treat I look forward to every day. Don't do facebook so well done Dusty for keeping this going. Love these old Zeds and have got a chance of a 74 Z1B needing a bit of work and these pics are not helping my dilema. 31k has halted for the moment and no room in the garage so something will have to give John

+1 Dusty,
Like many, I don’t do Facewipe. However your trawling of it to bring our community a bit of bike interest daily is commendable. Keep it up.

Glad you like the thread There seems no end of pics on the various Facebook forums. I'm going to have to open another Flikr account soon as I'm nearly up to my 1000 pic limit !! Dusty

That was a pleasure to watch, thank you for posting that, nothing like watching a craftsman creating something from nothing.

Keep it up Dusty. That Zed 900 is one of my dream bikes. Still hanker after another Z650...

It’s a little bit like spray painting, if you’ve ever done it? The trick (skill) you see here is to get the metal exactly to the temperature front and back to stretch the steel one side without collapse of the tube. He must know exactly what his equipment can do, and the reaction of the metal. I’ve done this on bar successfully, never tube. Spray painting is a similar art. You have to know how to set up you equipment, and the way the paint reacts. Then coat the areas with enough paint so it flows together without running. The way he moves his torch reminds me of a paint gun. I think painting is easier looking at the skill involved here, but none the less similar. Jon

Scrub marks right to the edge of the rear tyre! Looks like this one gets the business when out and about - the way it should and not just for posing down the pub. Nice one 👊✊👊✊👊✊✊✊✊

Was wondering what all the crates were for. Stunning collection. Does his wife still have them?
