I didn't link the Replica Bikes site coz if you're not on Faceache you wont see it unfortunately. I did look for a website but didn't see one ? Shame, as there is a whole album dedicated to the build of the diddy Lc. My desktop is chock full of pics I've got waiting to go on this thread - 80 at last count and I've found a few pages that could easily double that. I've started putting on a couple a day to try and clear my screen !! 1 person puts a pic on a Facebook page, and that links to another site where it was "borrowed" from - you then look at that sites album and then there is hundreds of pics related to the bikes we all seem to like. Here is another, random pic from Replica Bikes; 13442586_1700131283583323_7600192162626891551_o by dusty miller, on Flickr And I've got loads of Baz; 15966161_247114612390326_4483111651124235170_n by dusty miller, on Flickr Dusty

A fair few of these bikes I’m not too keen on but I’m glad people are still putting their own stamp on them and I appreciate the work that goes into them.

A fair few of these bikes I’m not too keen on but I’m glad people are still putting their own stamp on them and I appreciate the work that goes into them. Me neither but I agree, and yes some of the work is well done... but.... What I dont understand is why so many of these 'style gurus' dislike OEM rear bodywork so much? I guess they think that some thinly padded 50's style seat unit (often one that you can buy off the shelf) or the cheapest bit of foam over a plank with a cover stapled over it is so much better than what the original manufacturers use, but it means the bike can only be used in fits and starts to ride to get a soy latte and pose and only on dry days. Inner city life i guess. I bought a bunch of OEM XL500R parts from a guy a few years back. Nice chap, good parts and price. After we chatted he showed me his bike. Ahh.... He'd got some CR side panels and found a way to jam them on. Now that looked ok compared to the cheapo ebay 'seat unit' (term used loosely as it was so thin all round with a nasty GRP base) and the he'd bolted on some old style mudguard and a rear LED light strip in the seat base. It was well enough done, but it was a bit weird to my eye. If a mullet is 'business at the front, party at the back', then what was this thing with 80's at the front and 70s at the back? If he could have fitted twin shocks he would have. He said it went well and offered me a ride, I declined. His 'vision' netted me a hardly used seat, much better side panels than i had, a rear muddy, rare OEM silencer (he'd fitted a cheap, thin 'designer rusty' looking tin cone thing), OEM mirrors and bars. A good haul for my project, but sadly of course whoever later bought his bike when he got bored with it would no doubt be looking for those parts again for sure, not easy for a 1 year bike, i'd been looking for those parts for about 4 years.

Sort of what we've been doing since we were kids then !! Getting perfectly good, well designed bikes and then junking airboxes/pipes/seats and applying dodgy paintjobs to our X7's/Lc's/Pv's etc etc, and getting them to seize far more quickly than they would have done otherwise with some home porting and tuning !! Some of us never grow up !!

Nice, H2r? Original not that feckin plastic thing they’ve launched recently. Can you imagine racing one of the following H2R TR750 TZ700/750 Animals I’d deffo have a tz with a lottery win.
