Now you're talking
One of the most naturally talented riders in the world
Casey Stoner
Never wanted all the limelight, he preferred to be out of it, all he wanted to do was race and do his best
Most people say he was arrogant, angry and not a very friendly bloke, from my perspective he just wanted to be left alone to do his job which was to ride motorcycles - fast

I always thought that about him and referred to him as Stacey moaner then I read up on him about his life thus far, his drive, his illness, and read his book and watched his story and complete changed my mind about him. He still says stuff that I think ‘please’ but he was probably the best racer I’ve ever seen better than Rossi (I’m a fan, or should I say was more of a fan) I can’t warm to Marquez but out of the three the most naturally talented and least dirty rider I’ve ever seen race. Got to respect the kid .

Carlo Ubbiali, "The Fox" 9 times world champion, testing Lucio Cecchinello Team GIVI's HONDA RS125R, in 1994. Carlo Ubbiali's stats were amazing. He started 71 GP's, had 68 podiums, and won 39 races. He won 9 World Titles, and even won a Gold Medal at the ISDT. This win/start ratio is incredible and the fact that he failed to finish only 3 races shows that he was a hell of a rider. He is number three in World Championships won behind Ago and Nieto, and ties with Hailwood and Rossi in equal third on 9 Championships. Unfortunatley you never see his name when the greatest are being discussed! heres a link about him www.cycleworld.com/story/motorcycle-racing/nine-time-world-champion-carlo-ubbiali-dies-at-90/

As for him being arrogant I'd have to totally disagree, I had the pleasure of being able to spend 20mins chatting to him in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur in 2007 and found him to be a very shy & humble Guy. I use to have to go out to KL for work and "purely by chance" it often seem to coincide with either MotoGP or WSBK at Sepang . I was there when Simoncelli sadly lost his life too, I'd taken a picture of him sitting in his pit box on the Saturday and he'd smiled and given a thumbs-up, a tragic loss

I was there when Simoncelli sadly lost his life too, I'd taken a picture of him sitting in his pit box on the Saturday and he'd smiled and given a thumbs-up, a tragic loss Definitely not arrogant at all, like you say really down to earth and humble, he taught Dovi, Marquez and Cal how to make use of the rear brake to stop the wheelieing I met and talked to quite a few riders at the Sepang winter test a couple of years ago, not meaning to name drop, Marc Marquez was really engaging and with a wicked sense of humour, Tito Rabat too, he always had a smile on his face and was always up for a beer or a chat Dovi, Jack Miller, Vinales, Gigi, Cecchinello and Lin Jarvis and lots of others I came across were also very approachable, Rossi slipped in the back gate to avoid the hoards of people wanting to get a selfy, I was lucky enough to get the whole Yamaha team to sign a T-shirt for me, same with HRC and KTM and Aprilia, Herve Poncheral is a scream always with a smile on his face, the atmosphere of the test was so relaxed for all of the riders Jack's whole family were in one of the boxes a group of us had hired for the GP itself , there were about 30 of them, Peter, Jacks dad, was like a cat on a hot tin roof, his mum doesn't like watching him, not one sense of privilege from all of them Cal Crutchlow didn't talk much at the start of the test, he was in that much pain, come the end of day 3 he was much more approachable and shared a few jokes with us, John McPhee was at the test too, what an amazing laid back character he is, had too many selfies and too many autographs to do, to his credit he did them all And yes I too was there when Simoncelli died it happened right in our field of view, the replays were horrendous, Colin Edwards and Rossi couldn't do anything, though they tried, the look on Casey's and Rossi's face were a bit worse than the Zarco/Morbidelli crash at the Red Bull Ring, they were all white as sheets No wonder they coined them The Aliens

The front right fork tube looks like it needs replacing, it’s a bit bent 😂
Interesting side car though
