Got an American magazine from 1965 (because I had a 65 bonnie cycle world?) that did a road test of this and they were completely blown away by it. What was the competition? Ariel arrow’s? Maybe mz or cz racers. Awesome bike. The start of the Japanese domination.

Michelle Rougerie What a guy, he could ride the wheels off almost anything he rode. It was a great loss to racing when he passed away all too soon, like many others! The 1978 Elf X with TZ750 motor its as aerodynamic as a house brick ! However what a racer. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Rougerie

Reminds me a little of the motodd laverdas, agree about the seat but I like the ‘hossack’ style front end.

Scorch Laverda. Clever man and very nice indeed. He does some really tidy and different street fighter jobs. I really like the frames he does. Like the early Laverda adverts used to say “Any colour you like as long as it’s orange”

Cost 200,000 Oz dollars to make (most of it from George Miller's own pocket. The blue van that gets totalled in the opening sequence was his own vehicle). Still the highest earning film per dollar spent. Goose was amazing and I'd love to make a MFP replica bike! Still have no clue what Johnny the Boy was doing to his swingarm that causes the bikes rear wheel to lock up but that part of the film where he just canes it through the twisty roads is amazing. I assume the chap on the back was leaning over the Goose to film the speedo as he hit 120+. One of my all time faves that film. Hell, they were all brilliant.
