For me it lost its way in the late 90’s it became the thing it fought against through the 80’s and early 90’s. I loved it then practical sports bikes arrived and became a modern version for us old gits.

I think I saw this one on Plymouth Hoe. A few year's ago. Looked great in the flesh.

Barry does live down that way Tony, so probably the same bike I agree regards "Performing Berks" magazine. I used to look forward to it every month. Virtually had every issue up until the early 90's. And then it became all about the latest 4 stroke missiles and nothing else, or so it seemed to me, so I eventually stopped buying it. Then I started getting Motorcycle Mechanics every month, when Bob Berry (RIP) was the editor, but that changed over the years too. I then started buying Streetfighters mag, but got fed up with the first half of every article spent by the staff writer trying to be like a shite stand up comedian, and telling us virtually nothing about the bike in question ! So I stopped buying that too. Practical Sportsbikes ticks all the boxes for me now though, and I agree in that is has the same "feel" that PB had back in it's 80's heyday. Plenty of love for Lc's/Pv's and strokers in general in PS, so that's good for us. Performance bikes had a terrible time in the early years of the new Millenium. John Robinson died from bowel cancer in 2001, Ronnie died in 2003 after hitting a parked car after coming off a scooter, and Gus died in his first Senior TT, after hitting a Marshal that was crossing the road to assist a rider with mechanical failure - the lady marshal was also killed Must have been a terrible few years for all involved with the mag. Its also the same bike that Graeme Crosby won Dayton 200 on. Obviously different colour scheme. The bike was built from parts! many parts are different from original OW31 note the forks are not OW31 forks ect... yep, its a beautiful bike

Total respect for that man. Ever see the film Rush? Sums him up perfectly. I say bring back F1 as it was. No driver aids, no auto boxes and feckin DRS bollocks. Just big ol' V12's and blokes with the balls to drive them.

They fit the same engine in Raptor 700 quads for drag racing, Bloody insanely fast.

Been looking at them, the latest motors are bloody powerful. Be interested to see one in a road chassis.

MCN did a test with Nevis I think. He looked shocked when he came back in and complained about the excessive vibration from the thing. That TR750 I posted was also a two wheel vibrator. The dyno operater was complaining about having numb feet from the pegs
