Thats a great picture. It reminds me of a married pair who were still attending classic side car races before covid hit the man was in his 80's and his wife in her 70's. In 2019 at the Gedinne classic they kind off got a standing ovation from all the people that regularly attend and race these classic events when they went out onto the Start/Finish line.

I have to agree
Lots of bling and what looks like Ducati front and rear ends with the engine as a stress member

From a time when people raced at the Isle of Man TT with a front brake the size of a penny, a lit cigarette in their mouth, and a helmet that could double as soup bowl. This is Harvey Williams on his 125cc BSA Bantam in 1952.

Not listed in the results however similar bikes were doing average of 50-55 mph laps. Sounds slow? Just imagine doing that on that on the roads 70 yrs ago. With those tyres, those brakes and suspension. Bear in mind I bet the top end wasn’t much more than 75-80? That was quick, much respect and a great photo 👍 I’m also guessing it’s a D1 bantam as well hardtail/rigid frame.

Thats my 440, turns out it was a 425 after all those years, Andy the lad that bought it off me carried on and spent a fortune (I imagine) and created that, it is lovely and has a been fully sorted, its a bit of a beast by all accounts. Andy
