Having just rebuilt the F2 calipers on my LC2 bitsa I fitted them today and went about bleeding them.
Bled up no problem however brake fluid is now leaking from the little seals between the caliper halves.
I imagine it will be easy enough to fix however I would ask those of you who have rebuilt calipers in the past, what did you torque the bolts to? I cannot find a reference anywhere so went with 30Nm as per the brembo calipers on BMW GSs (it was the only reference I could find anywhere) which may not it seems be tight enough.
Dont want to over tighten them and bug*er things up

Did you change the seals between the caliper halves?
More torque on the bits won't squeeze them any higher as when the faces are together they are together. The seals in the recesses are in a fixed gap
I tend to use suzuki seals between the halves

Yeah
New seals fitted Steve which I got from Powerhouse.
I have got the calipers back off and in the vice so I will split them again later and see if anything else is obvious. If not I will try the Suzuki ones

Well I think I have found the problem. Pulled the caliper apart and discovered this Looks like the seal slipped a little when I was putting the caliper halves back together and got nipped between the faces. No wonder the fluid was pis*ing out. New seals ordered and I will go and have a word with myself.............TW*T !

Easing done bud
A smear of red rubber grease helps it stay in place 😉

Just jumping on this thread......does anyone know the suzuki part number for these seals that go in between the caliper halves? I assume they fit all the ypvs calipers? T.I.A.
