Have a look at my 251LC thread, I had the opposite problem using the F1 CDI on a BW kill switch bike. I think the CDI wire is red/white but do check my diagram as the info is there.

Got a bit more done, fairing is on, but I need to sort the front brakes, a new M/C kit has just arrived. Obviously the lockdown has brought it to a halt now as I need to take it for a shake down run once the brakes are done... Got the yamaha decal to put onto the bellypan yet On a better note the 31k passed it's first MOT in many years, I managed a quick 50 mile before the lockdown started and it all seemed ok

Hi Mak
Looking real good indeed
Quick query when you put the headlight fairing on did you have droopy indicators at the front, if so how did you correct them
Only ask as mine droop downwards and my headlight is lightly skew whiff, however the fairing is level
Cheers
Howard

I bolted a long bolt and washers into the indicator mount, then put a hollow bar on the bolt and moved it up a bit, this was with the fairing off

Got some petrol from the garage because we needed milk, runs ok on the drive but noisy from the clutch area.. I didn't use any clutch rubbers, does that cause the noise?

I've never noticed much difference with rubbers in/out
I've had noisy ones for no reason
Also had very low mile bikes that clatter

Don't think so
You would need to use a hosting site for video

Sounds similar to mine Mak, i've changed the basket, cush rubbers, bronze bush and plates but it still rattles, been like this for 2 years and i still trash the crap out of it. Will change the clutch bearing over the winter to see if that cures it. Andy.

Same as Andy my 385 is noisy
New idler gear, new billet basket, wiseco rubbers, new crank, new bearings and it is still noisy 😖

MOT done 😁 Also I Was never really happy about the PJ1 I painted the pipes in, really Matt and comes straight off if any petrol drips on them so redone in vht satin black and vht petrol proof laquer Finally I replaced the old seat cover with a all black one One think I did notice was with the fairing on, it makes the engine sound noisier, obviously all the engine noise get amplified and bounced around....

Delectable, cant see an R1 being that desirable in 40 years time. No way.

My brother had a similar RD LC 2 when i was a kid. I used to love riding on the back and looking down at the exhausts and the accompanying sweet smell of two stroke. Those where the days.
