Tried to change engine details on my logbook and DVLA want a letter from the engine manufacturer (Yamaha) showing the engine number and size . Anyone been through this and got some advice or contact details. Thanks 👍

Never had this but I've always been changing just the engine number but the same prefix
If it's different prefix or capacity that may be causing the problem but I thought capacity change was the only thing they wanted a letter from a company for

Hi , went down this road with the Tzr 350 . Got the paper work filled it in got the Mot station owner fill a part in . Sent form off . Log book came back with new engine number on 31k . The t**ts put the cc as 247 not 347 . I gave up at that point .

It's a 31k YPVS motor into a 250lc frame so maybe the prefix & capacity flagged something ?

Not bothered changing mine (4l1 cases 4l0 frame) can see it being a ball ache
