I also see that I never posted a 'done pic' of the new-to-me 51L head. I should remedy that... Ive even bought another one as I got a deal on it, always good to get stuff when its available as it'll soon be gone. I should probably go through all the spare heads that I have knocking around and do them all at the same time when the weather improves... yes even in Aus its cold and wet in winter at times lol

An interesting update which is most relevant in this thread I guess... Ive been a user of Webike Japan for a very long time as it's become my go to place for OEM (its the cheapest in the world Ive found for 80% of Yam parts that I buy) plus a conduit to used JDM parts (hard to buy on other platforms) as I know most of those reading this thread will know. Ive found some really nice stuff on there and its our way to buy things like the Retro LC2 tanks and amusingly named brands like Play Man’s Corporation (who make exhausts) along with other well known brands including tools... and Japanese make some great tools, not just Vessel screwdrivers lol A little while back they reached out to me and asked me to help with some things on their platform and in return have now offered me a small discount code which they are happy for me to share with my friends and you can share it with others as well if you want, its all good. The code gives 3% off to anyone using it and lasts until next June and is applied by typing (hopefully memorable lol) RD350 in the coupon section when checking out and from what I can tell using it is off all items on the site; tools, gear, new OEM, aftermarket and also used parts. Ok, I dont reckon that 3% is going to suddenly sway too many people to suddenly start buying abroad, but its a nice gesture and a those of us who buy there will be glad of any extra discount I would think. I should add that its not applied to post of course. I’ll be upfront; when people use it they give some (minimal) points on their platform that I can put towards purchases, but i think its more something theyve added to measure how many people I ‘influence’… lol… and since i dont have a facebook/youtube/instagram/tiktok/other-down-with-da-kidz platform/channel and I no longer have my 2smoked website that's going to be very small beer etc. Anyway, Im not sharing it for that reason, only that it offers a saving for any of us on here who wants to buy stuff there. FWIW there is a trade deal between Japan and the UK and I believe if the order is under £135 then it is duty free to the uk, but I dont know all the ins and outs of that, Steve midlifecrisis is the man who knows about that and has posted about it before. What I do know is that to Aus its A$1k max including post before duty applies for those Aussies who want to buy things - one of the few tax breaks we have here. Anyway, hopefully if anyone wants to try buying from there the extra money off helps… Anyone remember the code still after all this reading? Its…. RD350… 3% off... Enjoy!

Excellent Jon, every little helps
You are right, under £135 Inc post is duty/vat free
This will help as a few times with the currency conversion it's been nearer 140 but it's came through with nothing extra to pay so this will give a bit more wiggle room
Now what can I buy 🤔

I figured I should also add this info for anyone searching on Japanese websites for parts for our bikes. The JDM bikes are often not called by the same names we do... basically, in Japan an LC is an RZ250 and a YPVS is a RZ250R. Tho, a TZR250 and TDR250 and their 125 siblings are the same tho... and an R1Z is still an R1Z of course as was only sold there... RD500/RZ500 is RZV500, but is quite a bit of a different model in places... anyway, you get the idea. lol There are parts listed for the 350 versions when you search (which you should), but most parts for our bikes are shown when you search for the 250 version as thats what Japan had the most of and as we know many of the parts are common. Always make sure you check the year info on parts so you know they fit. What follows is a general guide, but you should make sure you know what youre looking at as our bikes varied in different markets: - JDM MY80-82 RZ250 (and RZ350) is what we call an LC - RD250LC and RD350LC - JDM MY83-84 RZ250R is LC2... 83-84 around the world and also USA's 85. Some differences to fairing etc for ROW 85 as JDM MY84 was basically ROW 85 (non USA), they were ahead of us at that point. - JDM MY86-on - much the same as out N/F2, but beware of the 3HM1 as that model had some differences to the ROW 86-on bikes, ie 17" wheels and other things. Its worth checking out as its pretty cool. - JDM didnt get the Brazil 92-on RD350R. HTH, more info on Japanese models on www.rd350lc.net of course... if its back up? hmm... let's hope so. One last thing... Its probably also worth noting that the Webike Japan website does not have the parts books so look up isnt as easy as Partzilla, CMS, Fowlers etc. So if you want OEM parts you'll need to copy/paste part numbers into the search bar. If they come up blank the parts are NLA, if the search returns a part then its available and you can buy it... if it returns multiple parts then it is showing you the supersede parts. Weirdly, some of these are different prices... hint, pick the cheapest as you'll get the same part.
