Great progress. Little and often is my mantra and I eventually get there. You will too. Good luck with it.

The powdercoat looks mint I like the blue wheels. Dusty Went to Triple S in Bingley this time for Powder Coating as he only does bike parts and has been doing it for over 30 years. I have the final colour scheme planned but Iโm not revealing it until the end ๐ Wow loving the blue and donโt reveal the paint because as soon as you do some b*****d will copy it, I know ๐

Steady progress and looking great. Thoroughly enjoying this one Thanks. I'm enjoying it too, I think Stevie Wonder put it together last time it was allegedly rebuilt. It looked quite tidy until you looked closely. Satin black with no prep on many parts. All four thrust washers on the suspension H piece missing and a few other things so far but at least i'll know what's been done this time. Float bowls where on the wrong sides too so it was very hard to start but ran well when going (a lot better after cleaning the carbs). Still a lot to do but I've got plenty of time

Brilliant job on the locks and catches. They came up really well.
Satin black hangers are really nice too
All these little details make all the difference in a tidy rebuild
Keep up the good work

69 by Gary Woodward, on Flickr 70 by Gary Woodward, on Flickr Ignore the blade fuses. I've got a scabby Canadian loom coming that has a fuse box on so that will be fitted. Loads of painted parts drying and still waiting for a few deliveries. Hopefully swing arm won't be long before that's ready to collect then it can go back on it's wheels .

Do you have the RAL code for the blue used on the wheels, looks very much like the blue on an lc tank stripe. Wanting my hybrid wheels to match the darker stripe on the tank. Cheers Trevor.

Looking great Gary.
Spent this evening going through my own loom which is not too bad but I will need to replace a couple of of the existing block connectors and chop a few out as I am fitting an Ignitech unit instead of the CDI and PV controller.
I notice you have remounted your fusebox next to the CDI unit. Is that where it was originally mounted? Looks tidy but it will mean you need to take your tank off to get to it to check it and or replace any blown fuses. I imagine that will not be convenient at the side of the road.
Mine is (or will be) mounted as standard on the LC2 model back under the seat on the back mudguard for easy access. I am not sure if the later models were different, just a thought.
Amazing job so far buddy, Banshee coils look the biz.

The original wiring was cable tied next to the Cdi unit and searching for pics of the F2/N2 with the tank off it seems to be the correct place for the fusebox although it does seem a stupid place for it really. If I have any problems with it then I will probably move it.

Waiting for deliveries today so I thought I might as well take the engine apart and make a start cleaning it up ready to go for vapour blasting. Clutch arm bearing put up a fight but gave in to a rawlbolt & a bit of heat. 78 by Gary Woodward, on Flickr 84 by Gary Woodward, on Flickr 86 by Gary Woodward, on Flickr
