I always use some threadlock on my rotor nut since having one come loose. Not had one come off since :-) On the petc**k/fuel tap, I use allen bolts with copper washers. Blue or red? Purple :-)

Where did you buy your tank from? Got mine from Shamgits, but Norbo and Webike (Japan) do them as well. Was getting a load of other random shit at the time, so saved a bit on shipping.

Well, well, well. Been some time since I updated this build thread. After doing my head in trying to get the jetting right, I pushed it into a corner of the garage, threw a tarp over it, and moved on to more satisfying pursuits. As spring ... then summer, rolled along, I realized getting the paintwork done, and selling it was probably the best way forward. Currently, my quiver consists of my 25 years owned TDR250, a 2013 KTM 300xcw (street legal, quite rare over here) woods bike, and the LC. As such, I have no proper "unplug the Battery Tender, press the button and ride across the state EFI 4T". Unfortunately, we live by modest means, so to get what I'm lacking, something has to go. About six weeks ago I dropped the bodywork off at the painter. Today he sent me this pic: Looks like it's time to get stuck in again and see if I can exchange it for a large stack of cash. Short list of tasks includes: Clean and detail the chassis and snap a few pics befor the bodywork goes back on Trailer it to the DMV (Dept Motor Vehicles) and get the Vermont title transferred to Oregon Fix the stiff/imprecise shifting I noted when I had it at a trackday in the spring One last go at improving the jetting Final detail and hi-res pics List for sale. Buy big, boring 4T. 2017+ MT09 currently tops the list.

I own a bunch of Ktm’s and no way I’d trade that beauty for one! I need a practical sport standard or big supermoto for long days out in Eastern Oregon and Northern California. LC just isn’t the right machine for my needs and redundant as I’ve got a TDR250 as well. Unfortunately Too skint to add another without selling something first.

Quite a few made it down from Canada, but the JDM 4U0 is exceedingly scarce here in the states. Ideal buyer would be someone in Japan looking for a proper JDM example to bring back home. Got all the JDM spec takeoff parts (pipes, centerstand, rear mudguard, braking system, etc) as well. With good exposure and marketing, it should fetch a good price, but only time will tell.
