Thanks fellas. Pretty sure the shocky is the right way up. The swing arm is an after market one designed for an sr500. The athena kit came with the entire top end and crank shaft. the engine case is an rz250. The harness is stock and i dont know what other bits he has put on but its been a lot of modifying stuff to fit. I basically pulled it apart and helped a bit to put it back together. its the third one hes done in the last 4 or 5 months.
Love the paintwork but not so much the calipers. Always liked gold wheels on an LC with the right paintwork and yours is right. Shocks look the right way up to me.. check pictures of an XJR1300, same way up.
but like Mellor said it's your bike so finish it how you like it. Not everyone likes my Cafe racer either but I do
The swingarm looks like a Motolana, I have one in my XT500.
I've never seen one in an LC before... I dont understand why you'd go twinhshock in an LC tho. But hey its a lovely swingarm, billet ally ends on extruded alloy. I think with a bit of welding and some effort spent sourcing more extrusions a monoshock version would have been possible and very trick.
I also wonder if the shocks are a bit 'too upright' and if they should cant forward more. Interesting to find out how that handles or maybe its the photo that makes them look vertical.
