I sent a few odds and ends off for re-chroming in...wait for it... June! Depsite several chasers, phone calls and emails, the company concerned who will remain nameless (for now) just seem to be sitting around telling me, next week - every time I call. Has anyone else had a bad experience of chroming companies? If so, please PM me.
Does anyone have any decent leads with a company that will do it in weeks, rather than months? I'm close to driving the 4-hour round trip to get my stuff and to demand my hard-earned back!

Hi I always use Sean at Agbrigg Chrome...Leeds way on... very accurate with lead times and sensible on pricing....well as sensible as chroming is.... bonus is he will also do Exhausts, which not all chromers will do....

my local chromer charged me £40 to zinc a quality street tin full of nuts and bolts, I cleaned them first and gave them 30 minutes in brick acid, they did my pipes for I think £150, had them back in under two weeks www.southwalesmetalfinishing.co.uk/

You are not the only one suffering with chromers , I have been using Howels of Walsall for 10+ years their service of late has been terrible, 6 months waiting for exhausts to be done then to be told we won't do them because of the repairs ? Even small parts have taken 2 to 3 months , so I am after a good chromers in the Midlands if any one knows please guys

The less chrome on a bike the better I say , but if you are building a standard bike then you need the devil's plating LOL Can't say I know a good chrome, seems a dying art now

Just had my bits back from Agbrigg Chrome Platers, Leeds. I got the company that let me down (4 months and not started the job!) to send to Sean there. He quoted me an all-in price for VAT and carriage and said he'd have them done in "4-5 days". They were done in 3! They are a very high quality and look stunning. They were well packaged and payment can be made via PP. I cannot recommend these guys more highly, if you have any re-chroming work (they do all sorts - and Sean is an LC owner!) these are the guys! Don't worry about wasting time thinking of somewhere else or closer, you will not be disappointed. I don't know if it's within the rules to quote websites / phone numbers etc - but anyway google Agbrigg and ask for Sean.

I use a different company in Gosport, he always just does "cash" jobs, its just a bit of pocket money. Turn around is always 2/3 weeks, never more. good quality work, the last lot I had done was a chain guard, two headlamp brackets, brake lever and gear lever off my H1, £100 for the lot.
