Nearly 10 years I've been knocking out RD's but all have been or at least started as a YPVS model
Then about a year ago a mate of a mate asked if I'd build him an LC hybrid
I said yes on the condition that there was no timescale. Was really looking forward to it in till the donor LC got stolen but that's another story
I bought another donor but it was a right sh1tter and the frame had been converted to a YPVS style set up. I'd already had the rgv swinger converted by no so decided to sell the matching frame/cases on and bought a UK frame
Tobyjugs very kindly sold me a set of ypvs cases at "mates rates" so fitted the swinger and a new yss shock along with an old ypvs front end and a mocked up engine
Sent it off to mutts for a set of stainless GP pipes to fit the no rearset
I'd best get some pics, back in a mo
Steve

Engine build My donor crank was toast, only the centre pin was usable so nearly all new - ouch Picked up a nice top end. Mildly ported on 0.25 bore a mere 500 miles ago and quality Vertex pistons Steve

Had to buy a stainless side stand from Dean at billet world to clear the rearsets. Black anodized billet yokes from a spondon440 and gsxr400 forks Forks had been stripped, machined on a lathe then re anodized gold. Rechromed stanchions, fully serviced. Front wheel came from an RF600 so same fitment as RGV but 3.5 inch rim Swinger is RGV banana converted by NK then powder coated "black chrome" before having a Tyga carbon cover kit fitted Rear wheel is GSXR 400 with a 400 bandit sprocket carrier and GS 500 39 tooth sprocket Steve

I had clocks from the donor bike but cases were cracked New cases from Norbo seemed to be all they needed as apart from needing the inside of the glass cleaned, even the red line was good How wrong could I be, opened them and the white cases were smashed to bits I was very kindly gifted a Speedo and tacho that needed work from spondon440 so I stripped them and made a good pair out the 2 Bracket powder coated and an extra bulb holder fitted into the extra jap spec speed warning lens for a shift light Fitted along with a new ignition switch Steve

My wife's been away since Thursday afternoon so spending a lot of time on the build Fitted the carbon swing arm covers properly, had to bond the front sections on and modify some of the mounting holes slightly I bought billet chain adjusters the other day so the standard ones will be going Strve

liking it steve can t you put the clocks n bracket back above the top yoke ? I thought they went under as standard I did put them above at first but as they were mounted further forward too the bracket looked very obvious I may mess around with it some more Steve

Hi Steve Looks fantastic mate The carbon headlight bowl looks much better on yours !! Have you the freedom to build it how you would want it or has your mate given you a plan to work to ? Think I would struggle to hand it over once it's finished !! Dusty

Think I would struggle to hand it over once it's finished !! Dusty Cheers Dusty The build came about because his mate wouldn't sell him his so wanted one like it The brief was LC, USD forks, banana arm, GP pipes and candy blue paint The rest is my choice, he hasn't even seen it yet lol. Just leaves me to it and sends money when I need it Parting with it hopefully won't be a problem, I sold the last 3 builds without riding them I'll be tempted to ride this one out of curiosity. After the theft this one is registered in my name and insured so may ride it over for an mot when done. I usually have started gearing up for the next one so distracts me The spoked wheel lc2 hybrid is after this Steve

Bit of a delay in fitting the pipes. Tried to fit my brake adaptor brackets and guess what... ...they don't bloody fit. As the front wheel needs to come off to sort I needed to prop it up which ain't easy with pipes on 2 hours later the fork lowers are modified with a Dremel, the brackets are fitted and front wheel and carbon muddy on Steve

Looks stunning mate 👍 Where did you get the tail tidy from? It's one of Norbo's. It's adjustable so can recess the tail light if you like Took ages to work out how it went together lol I still have 2 small brackets and a reg plate holder left. Steve
