Does anyone know the correct part number or type for a genuine headlight bulb for a Mk2 rd125lc, I know you can replace the whole headlight but I already have three, just no bulbs.

Not sure about the Mk2 (never had one) but the Mk1 Headlight bulb is the same as a Citroen 2CV Headlight Bulb
Yamaha certainly never made their own bulbs lol

Strange that it is not listed as a part by Yamaha.

Have you got a picture of the old/blown bulb? Or a picture of the bulb holder/terminal block?
I'm sure that any good automotive stockist will be able to find you a suitable replacement.

Thanks Looey, looks like the Citroen bulb is the type I am looking for. If anyone is interested it is P45T or 410 fitting, available everywhere for about £2.

Yeah cool About 15 yrs ago, I went into my local Motor Factors with my blown Mk1 bulb and the guy at the counter immediately said "That's the same as a Citroen 2CV" The rest is history

No, H4 bulb doesn't fit, the tabs protrude too far and the outer rim is smaller so even if you trim the tabs to fit the bulb falls inside the headlight.

The bulbs in the link look like they will fit as they are not your bog standard H4 type but a conversion from the P45t/410 bulbs.
