Are the MK1 and Mk2/3 wheel spindles different lengths? sorry if it's a daft question but I've bought two so far and both seem to be 10-15mm shorter than the bolt in my dads 125 and when I put them through the mk2/3 forks on my bike the threads don't protrude through the fork legs.

Mk 1 part no. is 2J5 25381 and mk 2/3 is 51Y 25181 so it would seem they are different.

Mk1 Mk1 bolt, in MK2/3 forks Mk1 bolt set roughly beside a mk2/3 front end. I reckon there's 20-25mm in it.

Measure or take your old spindle to any engineering supplies company they will be able to match it up at a reasonable price.
