125,10W............................................... 125,12A
Main jet 155........................................... Main jet 195
Air jet 1.0 ...............................................Air jet 2.5
Needle 5GN36..........................................Needle 5GN36
Clip from top 3.........................................Clip from top 4
Pilot jet 20...............................................Pilot jet 20
Air screw 1.5 turns out..............................Air screw 1.5 turns out
float height 1.0mm...................................float height 1.0mm
Been looking at carb set up difference between 12A and 10W and was wondering are the carburetters the same just with the internals changed or are they different. If they are the same could I just convert a 12A to 10W by changing jets etc. Thanks to Norbo for the carb info which I have pasted in from a one of his previous psts

There are slight differences, I was actually out looking at mine thos morning and took a few crappy pics. There's a 10w, 12a and 1GU here, excuse the quality, I only took them for my own reference and wasn't intending on uploading them. 10w - 12a - 1gu 10w - 12a 12a - 1gu 10w 10w 10w 10w 12a 12a 12a 1gu 1gu 1gu 1gu I'll take more pics of the differences between the 12a and 10w when I'm back in the garage later.

Main difference I seen when I was having a look earlier was that the 12A has this hole in the side and the 10W doesn't.

I know that they are different but if you were to set up a 12A carb as per 10W settings would it be comparable to an original 10W carb.

The 12a has another 'hole' i've spotted too, by the mouth of the carb. I'm guessing all these extra holes in the carb are why you have to jet it differently to the 10w.
I've read on a previous thread on here that someone tested a 10w and a 12a, both jetted correctly and there was no difference. I also read that the 1GU carb was 28mm and not 26mm like the 10w/12a, but I measured every bit of it and they're all the same.

If you set a 12A carb with a 10W 155 main jet you would hole the piston. Without getting too technical, not that I can, the 10W has different air/ fuel ratios/ internals and a different main nozzle than the 12A. That’s why we fitted Ledar Kits to adjust the air/ fuel ratio. The kit had a modified main nozzle and air adjusting kit. Saying that... you can set up a 12A to run well with an unrestricted exhaust. I have both and there ain’t a lot in in. What exhaust are you running?

Not sure yet either standard unrestricted 12A exhaust or Micron, all depends how they work on the bike.
