Any pictures or clues of the one you have?
Original ones were made from fiberglass generally, modern copies are a plastic of some sort.

Original ones were made from fiberglass generally, modern copies are a plastic of some sort. Sorry, that's wrong. Original 125 fairings were injection moulded plastic. Aftermarket copies are normally fibreglass.

Aftermarket copies are normally fibreglass. Ah, the one on my bike must have been added by a previous owner than, I assumed that it had been factory fitted. Live & learn.

If it's an original fairing, it would probably be ABS moulded, the later plastics (ie modern stuff) are slightly different composition. Think I read it on here somewhere.
